Books I'm Hogging From The Library: The October 4, 2008 Edition

Bookmark and Share

When I was a kid, I used to love a good "rainy day read." Well, I've got plenty of rain. Now I just need a bit o' spare time.

The Kitchen Shrink: Food and Recipes for a Healthy Mind :: A book for the foodie nerd. Mostly the "nerd" part.

The New Taste of Chocolate: A Cultural and Natural History of Cacao with Recipes :: Really, I just wanted to know how to pronounce "cacao." And this rather interesting book hasn't gotten around to telling me. But I've heard of this thing called "goggle," or "floogle," or something like that. Maybe I should try it sometime.

Stuffed and Starved: The Hidden Battle for the World Food System :: What's almost as good as eating? Reading a book about eating. I'm sensing a theme.

Anyone else have an obsession they'd like to share?

Bueller?

Well... as far as an obsession, I just ate three mini Kit-Kat bars. I canNOT have that junk around! Stupid Halloween.

I'm actually stopping by, though, to tell you I saw your comments on Donald Miller's blog. I was a little surprised by his "coming out" on the Obama campaign trail, but I found it refreshing. Also, it was cool to stumble across your comments. So random, eh?
