Tea-Lightful
My dentist always asks if I drink a lot of tea or coffee. Why is it that my vocal cords say "no" but my teeth say "yes?"
Traitors.
Okay, so I happen to enjoy a cup of tea every
But in summer, hot tea is not on the menu. And plain iced tea just doesn't do it for me. Oh, I suppose it would be fiiiiinnne indeed if I would dump a load of sugar in my cup. But since Sugar Is Of The Devil Because Why Else Would It Taste So Good, I set out to find something else to quench my thirst in the heat.
And then? My amazing discovery. Did you know that YOU CAN DRINK HERBAL TEAS WHEN THEY'RE COLD? I doubt that ANYONE has EVER thought of THAT before.
[Excuse me while I revel in my keen insights and original thoughts.]
My favorite flavor is peppermint, sweetened with just a bit of Stevia. I brew my tea in the sun, but recently I read that sun tea is not without its dangers. Somehow I've made it 33 years without knowing about this. But I felt you should be warned.
What do you drink in the summer?

Well, we used to drink sun tea. Seriously, but I don't know if I can do that anymore. We are HUGE proponents of water, but don't worry, we drink tap water. And I am required to drink about 32-64oz of Gatorade a day. That's a quirk you'll hear about soon.
Call me crazy, I drink water. Only about once a month I will make brewed green tea (iced).
Love the photo of the happy tea-drinker!
I brew a pot of hot tea in the morning, have a cup (with sugar...Eek!...have mercy on me, a sinner).
Then I use the rest to make iced tea for the day.
It's regular tea, not herbal, but I like your idea a lot.
And honey isn't half bad for an alternative sweetener. If I stir it in while the tea is hot, then as iced tea it's pretty tasty.
And in spite of its tasty sweetness, honey is definitely of God, isn't it?
If we took a minute or two, I think we could manage to turn up some Bible verses that would back up that claim.
And hats off to Heather, the healthy water-drinker.
Oooo, tea with mint AND honey is delicious! (Hot or cold). Also great: homemade 'lime-aid' with a touch of mint... and (have mercy on me, also a sinner) sweetened. :0)
But mostly, water. Right out of the tap. I keep a half-filled water bottle in the freezer (yes, frozen) so I can top it off with cold water. I like my water really cold.
I'm so curious about Tina Marie being required to drink Gatorade?
Hey Julie...I'll go ahead and post, so you won't be pining away for my explanation. Sorry SMM, I'm soliciting your readers.
I will admit that I looove Starbucks carmel frapps. yes they are very bad for you but they are oh so good! and nice and cold. and just so you know I drink them in the winter too. :o)
What are the dangers of suntea? Now you've piqued my interest! =)
PS) I've been drinking iced suntea everyday (gulp)
They have a Tazo cold tea (premade) that is a green tea with plum and pomegranate I think it is. It's WONDERFUL. But, to answer your question, we mostly drink water year round. It's basically free (not really), and it's always handy. lol

Hmm... I didn't know that about sun tea, either. I don't think it's going to stop me though. I love tea and am always trying new herbal brews. Yum!
